Barcelona agree deal with Sevilla for Ivan Rakitic

Barcelona announce that they have reached an agreement for the transfer of Ivan Rakitic.

Barcelona have confirmed that they have reached an agreement with Sevilla for the transfer of Ivan Rakitic.

The 26-year-old midfielder joins the Catalan club on a five-year contract, with Denis Suarez moving the other way on loan for the next two seasons.

Rakitic is currently on duty with Croatia at the World Cup and recently said that it was a dream come true to join Barca.

Last season at Sevilla, he made 59 appearances and scored 15 goals as the Andalusian club came fifth in La Liga and won the Europa League.
