Barcelona midfielder Sergio Busquets has conceded that his team were far from their best against Valencia on Saturday afternoon, but was pleased with the accumulation of another three points.
The Spanish champions trailed 2-1 to Valencia early in the second period, but Luis Suarez equalised just past the hour, before Lionel Messi netted a 94th-minute winner from the penalty spot.
The victory ensured that the Catalan giants moved to the top of La Liga, and Busquets was happy with the result if not the performance at the Mestalla.
"There were a lot of controversial moments but the penalty was really clear. You then have to analyse the incidents one by one," Busquets told beIN Sports. "It wasn't our best game but we played to win and that's what happened."
Sevilla, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid can all move above Barcelona with wins in their respective matches on Sunday.
