Frenkie de Jong has insisted that he will come good for Barcelona after struggling to show his best form for the club in the early stages of the 2019-20 campaign.
The Netherlands international joined the Spanish champions from Ajax during the summer and has featured in all three of Barca's La Liga fixtures this term.
However, the 22-year-old has struggled to make his mark for a team that has won just once in the league this season.
"Things went well in pre-season, but I have to say I haven't played my best game in the competitive fixtures," De Jong told De Telegraaf. "The football is very different from what I am used to. I had the fewest touches against Real Betis, when usually it's the other way around.
"People panic, but I don't. I've been a bit flat so far. I know I can contribute a lot more with the ball during the game. I can be a lot more dominant, so I don't worry too much about it."
The Catalan giants will look to return to winning ways in the league when they host Valencia after the international break.
