Mauro Icardi staying at Inter Milan

Inter Milan centre-forward Mauro Icardi rules out a move to Spanish champions Atletico Madrid.

Mauro Icardi has insisted that he has no intention of leaving Inter Milan this summer.

The 21-year-old has been strongly linked with a switch to Atletico Madrid, who are looking to replace both Diego Costa and David Villa.

However, the Argentine has claimed that he has given no consideration to the prospect of departing the San Siro.

"Atletico? Why would I ever leave Inter? I am a key player here and I want to do well wearing the Inter jersey. I had my phone switched off during my holiday and didn't read any papers. I never even considered leaving Inter," he told Corriere dello Sport.

Icardi joined Inter from Sampdoria last year.
