Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao emerges as Real Madrid's top transfer target, according to reports.

Real Madrid will reportedly make a £45m move for Atletico Madrid striker Radamel Falcao in the January transfer window.

The 26-year-old, who has scored 16 goals in 14 league games this season, hit five for Atletico in their 6-0 win over Deportivo La Coruna at the weekend.

It had been suggested that Chelsea were the favourites to sign the Colombian striker, but according to various reports in Spain, Real Madrid have emerged as the team in the driving seat.

Atletico currently sit second in the La Liga table, six points behind leaders Barcelona but five points ahead of third-placed Real Madrid.
