Atletico Madrid are reportedly in no rush to extend the contract of back-up goalkeeper Antonio Adan, whose current deal expires at the end of June.

Atletico Madrid are reportedly in no rush to extend the contract of back-up goalkeeper Antonio Adan.

The 32-year-old's current deal at the Estadio Wanda Metropolitano expires on June 30, although the coronavirus pandemic has raised further questions as to the status of those coming to the end of their contracts.

Atletico are thought to be relaxed about Adan's future, though, having seen him start just six games for the club since arriving in 2018.

Marca reports that La Rojiblancos are instead focused on securing a new deal for Thomas Partey in order to increase his buyout clause amid reported interest from Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool.

Manager Diego Simeone regards Jan Oblak as the undisputed number one for Atletico, with just one of Adan's starts coming in La Liga and the other five coming in Copa del Rey matches.

The Spaniard has played just 144 minutes of first-team football this season, conceding two goals in as many appearances.
