Atletico Madrid confirm Guilherme Siqueira capture

Atletico Madrid confirm that they have reached an agreement with Granada for Brazilian left-back Guilherme Siqueira.

Atletico Madrid have confirmed that they will sign Guilherme Siqueira from Granada this summer.

The 28-year-old spent last season on loan at Portuguese side Benfica, whom he helped win a domestic treble.

Real Madrid came close to signing the Brazilian in the January transfer window, but the move broke down at the final moment when Fabio Coentrao remained at the Bernabeu.

Atletico have since stolen a march, with the La Liga champions revealing that they have reached an agreement with Granada, which is believed to be in the region of £8m.

Siqueira will reportedly undergo a medical on Monday.
