Atletico Madrid and Spain midfielder Koke has claimed that the burden for La Roja to improve their game should not fall solely on him.
The 22-year-old has been described by some as a successor to Xavi, with Vicente del Bosque's side eager to rebuild and put their shock first-round exit in the World Cup behind them.
Koke, however, told Marca: "It's not just me. Everyone here has to step up, both the youngsters and the veterans. We had a very good era, and we have to keep working at it.
"We have to take that step forward - not just me, everyone - to make it to the Euros and play a good tournament."
Spain, second in their Euro 2016 qualifying group, take on Belarus this Saturday.
