Remi Garde expecting January departures from Aston Villa

"A few" players are likely to leave Aston Villa during the January transfer window, according to manager Remi Garde.

Aston Villa manager Remi Garde has admitted that a number of players could depart the club during the upcoming January transfer window.

The Premier League's bottom-placed side are expected to be active next month, both in terms of incomings and outgoings.

As far as exits are concerned, Garde has conceded that he has "a few" unhappy players that will be keen to leave Villa Park.

"I can't answer precisely, but for sure there are players here that have not been playing for a long time," the Frenchman told reporters.

"It's not very healthy for the group - for themselves first because you want to play. I can understand that they are frustrated and not happy about their situation.

"We will have to find a solution. I can't tell you how many players, but there are a few."

Strikers Gabriel Agbonlahor and Libor Kozak are among those that have been linked with moves away from the Birmingham-based club.
