Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce is confident that a loan move for Everton winger Yannick Bolasie will be completed at some point over next 24 hours.

Aston Villa boss Steve Bruce has claimed that a loan move for Everton winger Yannick Bolasie should be completed at some point over the next 24 hours.

The 29-year-old joined the Toffees from Crystal Palace in 2016 for a fee of £25m on a five-year contract but has been linked with a departure from Goodison Park.

Television cameras caught Bolasie sitting in the stands at Villa Park on Wednesday, watching as the West Midlanders claimed a last-ditch 2-2 draw with Brentford.

"We hope we can get Yannick Bolasie over the line," Bruce told Sky Sports News on Friday.

"There's bits and pieces to be done. Hopefully we can announce something later today or tomorrow."

Bolasie has also been linked with a move to Villa's Championship rivals Middlesbrough.
