Aston Villa, Wolverhampton Wanderers want Burnley's Josh Brownhill?

Aston Villa and Wolverhampton Wanderers are among five Premier League clubs keeping tabs on Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill, who has become a regular for Sean Dyche.

Wolverhampton Wanderers and Aston Villa are reportedly two of a number of Premier League sides interested in Burnley midfielder Josh Brownhill.

The 25-year-old joined Sean Dyche's team in January last year and has quickly become a regular for the Clarets, starting 22 of Burnley's Premier League matches this season either in the middle of the park or out wide.

Brownhill is yet to register a goal or assist in the current Premier League season, but having forced his way into Dyche's plans on a regular basis, he is understood to be attracting interest from other top-flight clubs.

According to TEAMtalk, Wolves and Aston Villa are both keeping a close eye on the midfielder's development and have been scouting the Burnley man for a number of months.

The report adds that Crystal Palace, West Ham United and Southampton all hold an interest as well, so while Brownhill has a contract at Turf Moor until 2024, he would not be short of suitors if he does decide to advance his career elsewhere.

The former Bristol City man scored his first goal for Burnley in September's EFL Cup fourth-round victory at Millwall.
