Aly Cissokho returning to Aston Villa?

A report claims that Aston Villa will recall French left-back Aly Cissokho from his loan stint in Portugal with Porto.

Aston Villa have reportedly cut short Aly Cissokho's loan stint with Porto.

The Frenchman was sent out during summer for the season to the Portuguese side by former Villa boss Tim Sherwood.

However, with left-back Jordan Amavi having been ruled out for the remainder of the campaign with cruciate ligament damage, Sherwood's replacement Remi Garde has decided to recall Cissokho as cover, according to Sport Witness.

The report adds that the 28-year-old is happy to return to Villa, having made just three appearances in all competitions for his loanee club.

Cissokho joined Villa from Valencia in the summer of 2014.
