Aston Villa and Everton face each other at Villa Park in the Premier League following weeks of inconsistency for both clubs.

Aston Villa host Everton on the back of an FA Cup victory, while David Moyes's side continue to struggle for form in the Premier League.

The Midlands side have had more days of rest for their squad, while their Merseyside opponents suffered a mid-week defeat to Tottenham Hotspur.

Villa goalkeeper Shay Given has returned to training after a layoff with a hamstring injury. However, boss Alex McLeish has stated that the Irishman isn't guaranteed a spot in the squad.

Number two Brad Guzan is likely to start for the Midlands outfit while striker Darren Bent, who has been linked with a move away from Villa Park, should start up front with Gabriel Agbonlahor.

Everton may be forced to make a change in defence as Sylvain Distin limped out of White Hart Lane during the side's 2-0 defeat. The Toffees remain without Phil Jagielka, Jack Rodwell and Leon Osman.
