Everton boss David Moyes has said that his side did some "good things" against Tottenham, despite their 2-0 defeat.
The Toffees, who twice came close to opening the scoring through Louis Saha, were unable to find the back of the net at White Hart Lane as goals from Aaron Lennon and Benoit Assou-Ekotto in either half sealed the defeat.
"I thought we played okay," the Scot told the club's official website. "We gave away a poor first goal and then they scored a wonder one that took a deflection and flew in from 35 yards.
"Our players done okay tonight but we need someone to score a goal like Ekotto did. That would give the boys a bit of confidence and give us something to hang on to as we are not playing that bad.
"We played quite well tonight. We kept the ball well, passed it at the right time, we did some good things and we made some opportunities."
Everton are currenlty in 11th place in the Premier League, eight points clear of the drop zone.
