Everton manager David Moyes believes that his side deserved more from their 2-0 defeat to Tottenham Hotspur at White Hart Lane on Wednesday evening.
Goals from Aaron Lennon and Benoit Assou-Ekotto have kept the Toffees 11th in the Premier League table.
"We did okay, but I'm disappointed - we had one or two good opportunities that we didn't take, but we played quite well and there were a lot of good signs," Moyes told Sky Sports News.
"We needed someone to catch the ball sweetly on their boot and for it to fly into the net. That's what we need at the moment and it's nothing less than we would have deserved."
The Merseyside club travel to Aston Villa in the league on Saturday.
