Arsenal announce that defender Sead Kolasinac has left the Emirates Stadium to sign a deal with Marseille.

Arsenal have announced that they have allowed defender Sead Kolasinac to sign for Marseille on a free transfer.

Having failed to secure a move away from the Emirates Stadium in the summer, the 28-year-old has been used on five occasions in all competitions this season.

However, with six months remaining on his contract, the Bosnia-Herzegovina international was always likely to depart in January with interest coming from several clubs.

The Gunners have now revealed that they have terminated Kolasinac's deal by mutual consent, allowing him to move to Marseille as a free agent.

Kolasinac departs North London having scored five goals from 118 appearances in all competitions, 80 of which came in the Premier League.

The left-sided defender has penned an 18-month contract at the Stade Velodrome.
