Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain is due to undergo a medical at Arsenal on Monday ahead of his £25m move to the club, according to a report.
The Gunners have been in negotiations with the Argentine for a number of weeks now, having seemingly beaten Juventus to the 25-year-old's signature.
The North London outfit have reportedly been in Spain this past weekend thrashing out a deal with the player's representatives and are thought to have agreed wages of around £100,000 a week.
However, the fee could be higher than expected having previously been reported as £22m, which was still a club record amount.
According to Radio Cadena YSKL, the two clubs have agreed terms over Higuain and he will have a medical at Arsenal's training ground in London Colney on Monday, before potentially being unveiled on Tuesday or Wednesday.
Arsenal are also thought to be close to signing Wayne Rooney, Marouane Fellaini and have been in talks with Barcelona over a move for their former captain Cesc Fabregas.
