Report: Arsenal to launch £40m bid for Marco Reus

Arsenal will make a £40m bid for Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus, according to a report.

Arsenal are reportedly planning to table a £40m offer for Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus after Shinji Kagawa's return to the Bundesliga club.

Dortmund have re-signed Kagawa from Manchester United, with reports suggesting that he may have been signed as a replacement for Reus.

The Gunners are in the market for a new striker, with Radamel Falcao and Danny Welbeck among their targets.

However, manager Arsene Wenger could revive his interest in Reus, after holding talks with the player before he picked up an injury earlier this summer.

According to The Express, the Gunners will test Dortmund's resolve by submitting a £40m bid for the Germany international.

Reus joined Dortmund from Borussia Monchengladbach in 2012.
