Report: Arsenal target £30m move for Daniel Sturridge

A report claims that Arsene Wenger is looking to bolster his forward options at Arsenal by signing Daniel Sturridge from Premier League rivals Liverpool.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly made Daniel Sturridge his number one summer transfer target.

It is believed that Wenger is eager to bolster his attacking ranks at the Emirates Stadium, having seen his side score 59 Premier League goals so far this term.

That is eight fewer than champions Leicester City and second-placed Tottenham Hotspur, while Manchester City in fourth have found the back of the net 68 times.

As a result, The Mirror has claims, Wenger is keen to secure the services of Liverpool frontman Sturridge in a £30m deal.

Yesterday, the 26-year-old insisted that he was happy with life on Merseyside, despite reports to the contrary.
