Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has admitted that he needs to strengthen his side defensively during the summer.
Only two teams have conceded fewer goals than the Gunners this term, but Wenger pointed at his side's recent 3-3 draw with West Ham United as an example of why they need reinforcements.
The Frenchman called on his side to "toughen up", and admitted that they need to improve at both ends of the field next season.
"We have to add something defensively as a team to be more ruthless," Wenger told reporters.
"Once you are two up at West Ham you finish 3-3 you question the team defensively. We were not strong enough defensively. We gave cheap goals away against Man Utd and were punished for it.
"I don't think we are soft but we need to toughen up. In some games we were caught, but a lot of the teams have the same problem."
Arsenal will guarantee a top-three finish and Champions League football for a 20th consecutive year if they beat Manchester City on Sunday.
