Report: Arsenal eye 'new Samuel Eto'o'

Arsenal are reportedly monitoring the progress of 21-year-old Lyon striker Clinton N'Jie - dubbed the next Samuel Eto'o.

Arsenal are keeping tabs on Lyon and Cameroon striker Clinton N'Jie, according to reports.

N'Jie, who could be available for as little as £800,000, has two years remaining on his contract and, according to The Mirror, Arsenal are monitoring the 21-year-old.

He struck on his international debut against Congo and has been tipped to fill the goalscoring void left by Samuel Eto'o after his retirement from international duty.

The Gunners are still a little light on striking options despite their deadline-day capture of Danny Welbeck from Manchester United.

Welbeck struck his first goal for the club in Saturday's 3-0 win away to Aston Villa.
