Arsenal's Hector Bellerin 'has agreement to return to Barcelona'

Barcelona presidential candidate Joan Laporta reportedly has an agreement in place to negotiate a deal with Arsenal's Hector Bellerin if he assumes office at Camp Nou.

Barcelona can reportedly agree to negotiate a deal with Arsenal defender Hector Bellerin if Joan Laporta is elected the club's new president.

Bellerin left Barcelona's La Masia academy at the age of 16 in 2011 and has since established himself as Arsenal's first-choice right-back, but he has not been immune from criticism over the past year.

The Spain international was linked with a move away to Paris Saint-Germain last summer, which went nowhere, but he is supposedly set to head for the exit door at the end of the current campaign, with Camp Nou his most likely destination.

Now, The Mirror reports that Laporta - one of three presidential candidates hoping to assume office on March 7 - has already held talks with Bellerin's entourage over a potential return to Catalonia.

As well as a move for the Gunners right-back, a separate report has suggested that Laporta could look to bring current Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta to Barcelona as part of his long-term plan for the Blaugrana.

Bellerin has just under two-and-a-half years left to run on his current deal with Arsenal, and despite making 22 Premier League appearances this season so far, he was benched for Sunday's 3-1 win at Leicester City.
