Guillem Balague: 'Arsenal not in for Dani Ceballos'

Arsenal have "no interest at all" in Real Betis teenager Dani Ceballos, according to respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague.

Respected Spanish journalist Guillem Balague has denied suggestions that Arsenal want to sign Real Betis youngster Dani Ceballos.

It had been claimed that the Premier League leaders were preparing a move for the 19-year-old, who signed a new five-year deal with his Spanish club towards the start of the season.

Despite the fresh deal, it is understood that Ceballos has a release clause in the region of £9m, which Arsenal were said to be prepared to activate.

Balague, however, has claimed that there is "no interest at all" from the Gunners in a player that joined Betis in 2011 and has since made more than 50 first-team league appearances for the Andalusian club.

"No interest at all from Arsenal on Dani Ceballos. He still has got lots to learn but AFC not convinced about him," Balague posted on Twitter.

Ceballos has also scored twice in seven appearances for Spain's Under-21 team.
