Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that making an offer for Borussia Dortmund striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang "is not a possibility".
The Gabon international has emerged as a possible target for the Gunners, who are almost certain to lose forward Alexis Sanchez in the next six months.
Reports in the Italian press went as far to suggest that Arsenal would offer up to £80m to land Aubameyang in the summer, having again excelled for Dortmund this term with 21 goals in 23 games, but Wenger claims that the speculation is wide of the mark.
Asked if Aubameyang is one of his targets, the Frenchman told reporters: "No, that's not a possibility."
Aubameyang has been linked with a number of European football's elite clubs following a 40-goal campaign last time out.
