Arsenal could reportedly miss out on a deal for Boca Juniors forward Cristian Pavon, with the 22-year-old's Argentine club preparing to offer him a new contract in the coming days.
The Gunners have been linked with a move for Pavon over the last few weeks, and the Premier League club were said to be confident of securing a deal ahead of Barcelona.
However, according to AS, Boca want to tie Pavon to a new contract, which would see the attacker's release clause rise to £37.5m in this summer's transfer window.
The report claims that Arsenal could now drop their interest in a player who impressed for Argentina at the 2018 World Cup.
Pavon scored seven times and registered 19 assists in 32 appearances for Boca during the 2017-18 campaign.
