Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn warns Arsenal off moving for Ryan Fraser in this summer's transfer window.

Bournemouth chairman Jeff Mostyn has warned Arsenal that the Cherries will fight hard to keep hold of Ryan Fraser during this summer's transfer window.

Fraser has been in fine form for Bournemouth this term, contributing seven goals and 11 assists in 36 appearances in all competitions for the Premier League club.

Arsenal have recently been credited with an interest in the 25-year-old ahead of this summer's transfer window. Cherries boss Eddie Howe, meanwhile, has hinted that the attacker could move on.

Mostyn has now had his say on the situation, insisting that his club will battle to keep hold of the seven-time Scotland international.

"We will talk to Ryan. It is very early days yet and we will do the best for Ryan as we always have for all of our players," The Mirror quotes Mostyn as saying. "At the end of the day, contracts are what [they are].

"People sign long-term contracts and will still leave but as far as I am concerned, I follow Eddie Howe's mantra – we never talk about transfers and I just follow my manager's example.

"We just don't want anybody to leave the football club. Your prized assets are prized assets for a reason and we want to continue the momentum that we have achieved.

"Four consecutive seasons in the Premier League. We are going to start our next season, which will be our fifth year - we want our very best players to be playing for our football club."

Fraser arrived at the Vitality Stadium from Scottish side Aberdeen in 2013.
