Arsenal and Liverpool are both thought to be plotting bids for Swiss midfielder Granit Xhaka.
According to German newspaper Bild, the 23-year-old is keen to move on from Borussia Monchengladbach at the end of the season and is considering his options.
"At the moment I prefer not to say too much," Xhaka's father Ragip said. "We'll see what happens. I can say that several big clubs are interested. Everything is possible, we're not ruling anything out."
Xhaka has a price tag of around £37m, which would represent the Reds' most expensive ever signing ahead of the £35m paid for Andy Carroll in 2011.
Bayern Munich, Napoli and Tottenham Hotspur are also said to be monitoring the situation.
