Arsenal join Kyriakos Papadopoulos race?

Reports claim that Arsenal are considering a move for Schalke's Kyriakos Papadopoulos.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has reportedly entered the race to sign Schalke 04 centre-back Kyriakos Papadopoulos, according to The Mirror.

The London club have been linked to a number of defenders this summer, including Lorenzo Melgarejo and Ashley Williams.

However, Papadopoulos is being lined up as an alternative as talks for other targets are moving too slowly for Wenger's liking.

Liverpool have also been linked with the Greek defender, but his agent has said that the player is happy to stay at Schalke.

It is believed that Papadopoulos has a buyout clause of £19m.
