Arsenal have officially confirmed the exit of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
The striker has been with the Gunners for four years, but this season saw him fall out with Mikel Arteta, and he was removed as captain in December due to a disciplinary issue.
The Premier League outfit decided to allow him to leave for free in the January transfer market, and a deal was worked out on deadline day with Barcelona, although it is yet to be officially announced.
A statement from club stated: "We wish Auba all the best for the next chapter in his career and thank him for his contribution to the club."
The striker has not played a game since December 6 due to his off-the-field issues, and he did have 18 months left on his contract heading into the transfer window.
During his time with Arsenal, Aubameyang managed to score 92 goals in 163 games across all competitions, and he won the FA Cup in 2020.
