Report: Paris Saint-Germain drop interest in Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez

Paris Saint-Germain are reportedly no longer interested in Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez following the Ligue 1 club's signing of Neymar from Barcelona.

Paris Saint-Germain have dropped their interest in Arsenal forward Alexis Sanchez, according to reports.

The Ligue 1 giants have long been linked with a big-money move for the 28-year-old, but have since signed fellow attacker Neymar in a world-record deal from Barcelona.

According to The Telegraph, Sanchez was part of a three-man shortlist drawn up by PSG which included AS Monaco's Kylian Mbappe and Neymar, who was their first choice.

Now that Neymar has linked up with PSG, the Gunners talisman is reportedly no longer on the Parisians' radar, though Manchester City are thought to still be interested in the Chile international.

The report goes on to claim that Sanchez and his representatives are aware that PSG have now cooled their interest during this window and, although City remain in the running, they may wait until next summer before signing him once his contract runs out.

Sanchez played a direct part in 43 goals in all competitions last season - 30 of his own and 13 assists.
