Arsene Wenger: 'Jack Wilshere important for Arsenal's future'

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger insists that he wants to build the team around midfielder Jack Wilshere for the future.

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has insisted that Jack Wilshere will be the focal point of the team in the future.

The England international has suffered a number of injury woes throughout his career at the Emirates, but Wenger is adamant that the midfielder is an integral part of the club.

"Wilshere is a very important player here, my future plans have always been built around Jack," Arsenal's official Twitter account quotes Wenger as saying.

Meanwhile, the Frenchman has confirmed that defender Bacary Sagna will be out of action for three weeks with a hamstring injury.
