Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger believes that Calum Chambers is capable of coping with the pressure after he received a call-up to the senior England team.
The 19-year-old, who moved to the Emirates from Southampton this summer, has been included in Roy Hodgson's squad to face Norway and Switzerland.
"I think he has the character to deal with the pressure, the attention he will get," Wenger said in his weekly press conference.
"He is a kind boy. I believe he has a good family environment and I hope in the national team he will be protected a little bit as well."
The Three Lions will face Norway at Wembley in a friendly next Wednesday and will then take on Switzerland in Basel for their first Euro 2016 qualifier.
