Mathieu Flamini hails "incredible" Jack Wilshere

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini hails the character shown by Jack Wilshere at West Bromwich Albion last weekend.

Arsenal midfielder Mathieu Flamini has insisted that Jack Wilshere showed great character in his second-half performance against West Bromwich Albion last weekend.

Wilshere helped the Gunners come from a goal down to earn a point at the Hawthorns, scoring with a drive from distance to send Arsene Wenger's side top of the Premier League once again.

Flamini thinks that Wilshere's level of performance for his age is already "incredible", declaring that he has a fantastic support network at the club which will help fulfil his potential.

He told The Mirror: "Jack is a technical player, so every time he has one or two players against him, he gets kicked from behind or they try and jump on him.

"It is not that easy to keep your calm, But he did that at West Brom, very well. It meant that when he had the chance to score, he took it and it was an important goal for us.

"Jack is a very talented player, with a lot of quality, what he is doing already is incredible. Everyone at the club is very happy with him. The fans are very happy. I think that everyone should be very happy."

The 21-year-old has operated in an unfamiliar wide left role for Arsenal in recent weeks, filling a void left by Santi Cazorla to help the Gunners maintain their fine start to the campaign.
