Arsenal striker Park Chu-Young will not have to serve his South Korean military service for at least another 10 years.
All fit South Korean males must complete 22 months with the armed forces. However, the Military Manpower Administration have confirmed that the 26-year-old will not have to serve his time until 2022 because of a 10-year residency visa he had from his time at former club Monaco.
The news is a boost for Arsene Wenger as it means that Park will not have to leave the Gunners within the next two years as it was originally understood.
Park has made six appearances for the Londoners this season.
