Arsenal defender is reportedly carrying an ongoing groin problem which requires painkillers to get through matches.
While Bellerin missed a large chunk of the opening half of the campaign after overcoming a serious knee injury, the Spaniard has still made 13 appearances in all competitions.
However, according to The Athletic, the right-back has only been able to remain in contention for first-team outings through medication.
Bellerin sustained a groin issue during last month's game against Newcastle United, but it has not stopped the 24-year-old from making three appearances since February 16.
The report claims that the injury is hindering Bellerin when it comes to crossing the ball, leaving the onus on him remaining in defensive positions.
