Olivier Giroud is likely to start for Arsenal against Olympiakos.

Olivier Giroud is likely to start for Arsenal in their Champions League group match against Olympiakos on Wednesday.

The Frenchman notched his first goal for the club against Coventry City in the Capital One Cup last week but had to settle for a place on the bench in the 2-1 defeat to Chelsea at the weekend.

However, it looks as if Giroud will get a recall from Arsene Wenger having started their last European outing against former club Montpellier HSC.

Elsewhere, fellow countryman Abou Diaby will definitely miss the game, having been ruled out for at least three weeks following the injury he sustained against the Blues.

Mikel Arteta will face a late fitness test before the Group B game, whereas Wojciech Szczesny, Lukasz Fabianski and Tomas Rosicky are still out.
