Aiming to make it back-to-back wins and move closer to escaping the foot of the Eredivisie table, Almere City will travel to the Goffertstadion on Sunday to take on NEC.
The visitors find themselves seven points adrift of the relegation playoff place and 11 adrift of automatic safety, while their hosts remain 11th after a defeat last time out.
We say: NEC 2-1 Almere City
Almere City have certainly shown signs of encouragement in recent weeks and should cause problems for the hosts in search of back-to-back wins to strengthen their survival hopes.
We see NEC having too much quality, though, and back them to come out on top in a tight encounter.

Sunday afternoon's Eredivisie action will get underway at De Grolsch Veste where FC Twente will be hoping to get back to winning ways when they play host to RKC Waalwijk.
The hosts are on 36 points and have slipped to sixth place in the league table, while the visitors are the first side below the dotted line with 17 points after 22 games.
We say: FC Twente 2-1 RKC Waalwijk
After a very poor first half of the season, RKC Waalwijk seem to have found a second wind in the New Year and enter this match as one of the most in-form sides over the last four matchdays.
However, despite a few underwhelming results of late, Twente are a very difficult team to beat at De Grolsch Veste, and we feel they will be able to edge the visitors to victory in this one.

Sitting four places and just two points apart in the Eredivisie table, PEC Zwolle and Heerenveen will do battle at MAC3PARK Stadion on Sunday.
The hosts sit four points above the bottom three following a defeat last time out, while their visitors have climbed to ninth spot and only trail eighth-placed Fortuna Sittard on goal difference.
We say: PEC Zwolle 1-2 Heerenveen
Aiming to kick on from their late equaliser last time out and end their winless streak, we back Heerenveen to come out on top against a PEC Zwolle side who saw their momentum slowed last weekend.

Ajax vs. Heracles (Sunday, 3.45pm)

The final fixture of matchday 23 in the Eredivisie will come from the Johan Cruijff ArenA where Ajax will be playing host to Heracles on Sunday evening.
The hosts are on 51 points and took the lead in the league standings last weekend, while the visitors are in 14th place, seven points clear of the drop.
We say: Ajax 3-1 Heracles
While Heracles are enjoying their best run of form this season, Ajax have been sensational over the last couple of months and have not been beaten in a league game at the Johan Cruijff ArenA in well over a year.
With one eye on their Europa League second-leg playoff tie, the hosts are likely to make a few changes for this match, but we feel they will still be too good for the visitors in this one.
