David Gold sympathises with travelling West Ham United fans

West Ham co-chairman David Gold admits that he feels for the fans who travelled to see the team lose 4-0 at West Brom in the FA Cup.

West Ham United co-chairman David Gold has apologised to the team's travelling fans following Saturday's heavy defeat at West Bromwich Albion in the FA Cup.

The Hammers were knocked out in the fifth round of the competition courtesy of a 4-0 thrashing at The Hawthorns.

While admitting his own disappointment at the result, Gold has said sorry to the West Ham supporters who made the trip to the Midlands.

West Ham are back in action next Sunday when they travel to Tottenham Hotspur in the Premier League.
