Swansea City and Hull City met at the Liberty Stadium on Monday night for the first time ever in the Premier League.

The Swans went into the match having won just one of their previous 12 home matches, while Hull had tasted victory just once in their last 31 games in the top flight.

However, neither side could find a late winner in Wales and both were forced to settle for a point.

Read how the match unfolded in our live commentary below.

Good evening, and welcome to Sports Mole's live coverage of the Premier League, where Swansea City host Hull City at the Liberty Stadium.

History is being made tonight as these two teams meet in the top flight of English football for the very first time, when nine years ago they were battling it out in the country's bottom division.

That was in front of a crowd struggling to hit 6,000 people, but a decade on, over 20,000 fans will be present to witness these two teams scrap it out in order to push further away from the relegation zone.

It's going to be really interesting to see how this one pans out. Swansea have been, on the whole, poor on turf this season, while Hull have struggled when on the road. Something has got to give tonight.

Swansea have been far from free-scoring this term, with own goals representing the team's third highest source of finding the back of the net.

Meanwhile, Hull can't seem to get points on their travels. Their win at Newcastle United in September marks the only away game this season where they have come away with anything.

It'll be intriguing to see what team manager Michael Laudrup opts for, given that the Welsh outfit have just three days until they travel to Switzerland to face St Gallen in the Europa League.

However, Steve Bruce has the welcome news that key defender Curtis Davies is back in contention having served a one-match ban against Arsenal.

And on that note, let's get the team news.

SWANSEA XI: Tremmel, Tiendalli, Chico, Williams, Davies, Canas, de Guzman, Shelvey, Dyer, Hernandez, Michu

So Michael Laudrup makes three changes to the team that triumphed over Newcastle in their last match.

The big news for Swans fans is that Michu is back in the team after a spell on the sidelines through injury. Nathan Dyer and Gerhard Tremmel also come back into the starting lineup.

The trio come into the lineup at the expense of Michel Vorm, Alejandro Pozuelo and Alvaro Vazquez.

So that's the first XI, now for the substitutes.

SWANSEA BENCH: Zabret, Amat, Taylor, Lamah, Routledge, Pozuelo, Donnelly

Right, that's what the Swans have gone with. Time to take a look at the Tigers.

HULL XI: McGregor, Figueroa, Bruce, Chester, Davies, Meyler, Huddlestone, Graham, Livermore, Sagbo, Elmohamady

Steve Bruce makes just a single alteration to the side that lost at Premier League leaders Arsenal last week.

As expected, Curtis Davies return to the heart of the defence, while Robbie Brady is the man to miss out.

Bruce is likely to stick with the same 3-5-2 formation, with Maynor Figueroa moving to the left flank in Brady's absence.

Let's take a look at what options Bruce has on his bench.

HULL BENCH: Harper, Rosenior, Koren, Brady, McShane, Boyd, Faye

Those are the two squads for the match.

It's the first time these two sides have met in just over two years, with their last encounter coming in April 2011 when they drew 1-1 in the Championship.

When it comes to their clashes in Wales, it's the locals who tend to come out on top. In 32 home games, Swansea have won 21 of them, suffering defeat just seven times.

However, Hull are unbeaten in their last four meetings in the league.

I mentioned earlier that Swansea have struggled when it comes to finding the back of the net this season, with Michu and Wilfried Bony providing their only real consistent threat. But after 24 Premier League games without a goal at the Liberty Stadium, Nathan Dyer has now scored in successive home league matches and starts once again tonight. Meanwhile, Jonjo Shelvey is enjoying life in front of goal since moving from Liverpool in the summer. He has scored more top-flight goals in 12 Swansea appearances (three) than he managed in 47 with Liverpool (two).

On the other hand, after three wins in their opening six games this season, Hull have managed just two wins from their last eight, and only basement club Sunderland have a worse away record than the Tigers this season. Like Swansea, Hull have also benefitted a fair bit when it comes to own goals, with them marking their second top scorer behind Brady.

The teams are out at the Liberty Stadium, and we're just minutes from kick off.

The Swans are in their first kit of all-white with black trim, while Hull are donning the home strip of gold and black vertically-striped shirts with black shorts and socks, as well as black tracksuit tops for the walk out of the tunnel.

KICKOFF! Swansea, playing from right to left, get the match underway.

First shot of the game falls to Swansea. Michu picks the ball up on the edge of the centre circle and slides a ball to the onrushing Dyer to his left. Dyer cuts back on his right from just outside the penalty area before curling the ball just over the far post.

Straight away Michu has made a difference to this Swansea team. Is that a sign of things to come in this match?

It's been all Swansea so far. Michu knocks the ball wide to Hernandez on the right who charges down the side of the box. He pulls a pass back to the edge of the box, but it's behind Michu who was on the edge of the six-yard area.

GOAL! Swansea City 0-1 Hull City (Danny Graham)

Wouldn't you just know it. Danny Graham finally ends his seemingly ever-lasting goal drought at the home of his former club. He doesn't celebrate, but he must be delighted inside; it's his first in 30 games. Williams poor pass in intercepted just short of the halfway line by Elmohamady, who gases it up the right before clipping a wonderful cross to the far post where Graham tucks it away.

The goal comes against the run of play, with what was Hull's first attack of the match.

There's a long way to go yet, but Hull will be just two points behind Manchester United in 10th if they win today.

Swansea have responded pretty well since falling behind, but they are conceding possession cheaply at times.

Swansea are having a bit of joy down the right at the moment, as Tiendalli breaks forward before sweeping in an inviting cross to the near post. Davies is on hand to slid in and clear the danger for Hull though.

Hull are now starting to enjoy a bit more possession in this match after a strong Swansea spell. There haven't really been any chances though apart from the goal.

Can Swansea recover? They have earned just a single point from the seven games they have trailed in this season.

Shelvey plays a pass towards Dyer out on the right left, but it's just too heavy.

CHANCE! Nearly a very fine equaliser for Swansea. Davies starts the move from 30 yards out and, following a lovely interchange of flicks with Shelvey and Michu, lashes a shot over the bar from just inside the box.

It's pretty quiet at the Liberty Stadium at the moment, with the home fans not having a lot to shout about. Credit must go to Hull for that, who are coping pretty well in defence at the moment.

Half an hour gone, and Swansea have controlled most of the game but not really troubled Hull. Yet, it's the visitors who lead.

It's so quiet at the moment, and there hasn't been anything to report in the final few minutes. Swansea need something to happen to lift the home crowd.

Michu has looked fairly decent so far and is Swansea's main threat on goal. He prepares to hit a shot from 25 yards, but Bruce makes a timely lunge that just gets enough on the ball to kill the chance.

CHANCE! Wow, Leigh Halfpenny would be proud of this effort. Tiendalli has the ball on the right flank, with his teammates queueing up in the middle for a cross, but instead he knocks it back to De Guzman on the edge of the box, who absolutely skies it miles over the bar and into orbit. A few satellites will be taking a whack round about now.

YELLOW CARD Livermore takes one for the team as he brings down Dyer, who was breaking into a lot of space in attack.

This is too easy for Hull at the moment. They've defended well but Swansea aren't really asking a lot of them. It's too tight for the Swans to freely pass the ball around.

There will be one minute of added time.

Corner for Swansea, may be the last chance of the half.

Davies heads behind for a second corner.

Hull are awarded a free kick for shirt pulling.

HALF TIME: Swansea City 0-1 Hull City

That brings an end to a fairly dull first half. Hull lead having had only one chance in that opening period and have defended well since the goal. Swansea have dominated possession, but are doing nothing with it, and it's been easy for the visitors so far.

It's going to take some strong words from Laudrup in the dressing room at the break to kick this Swansea team into gear. They're a shadow of the team that attracted so many warming plaudits last term.

In the other dressing room, I'm sure Steve Bruce will be delighted with his side, and ask for more of the same.

And just to remind you, it was former Swansea hitman Danny Graham with the goal for Hull, his first in 30 games.

The teams are back out and ready for the second half.

KICKOFF! Hull, shooting to the left, get the second half up and running.

Huddlestone hits a half-chance from the edge of the box, but he can't quite control it and smacks it over.

Similar start to this half. Swansea with the ball, but Hull not being threatened. Swansea are going to make a change soon.

SWANSEA CHANGE It's an attacking one from Laudrup as Alejandro Pozuelo replaces De Guzman.

Swansea are starting to turn up the heat a bit and are looking a bit more lively, which has drawn some noise from the crowd.

Dyer wins a corner.

GOAL! Swansea City 1-1 Hull City (Chico Flores)

And just like that, Swansea are level, but not without an air of controversy. Swansea take a short corner, which Shelvey then blasts in towards the near post. It's a dangerous delivery that looks to have simply hit the arm of Flores and flown into the back of the net. The goal was all down to Shelvey though.

HULL CHANGE Danny Graham goes off to a good reception from all four sides of the ground, with Robert Koren replacing him.

The games become a bit more of a contest now as both sides are going for it. Hull have been forced to going on the attack, which is allowing Swansea more room to hit them on the break.

Shelvey tries his luck from range, but it flies over.

SWANSEA CHANGE Wayne Routledge is on having spent a recent spell on the sidelines with a calf injury. Pablo Hernandez is the man he replaced.

Hull scream for a penalty from a corner but aren't given it. Alex Bruce rises highest at the far post with a header, but it's blocked with both arms by Tiendalli, who raised them to his face. They can rightly feel aggrieved there.

Swansea are looking fairly nervy at the moment, with Hull on the attack.

Myler has the ball in the back of the net after slotting home from a headed flick on, and he thinks that he has scored. However, the flag flies up on the far touchline and his strike is chalked off as a result of an offside.

SAVE! Brilliant stop by Tremmel. Myler lays the ball inside to Sagbo, who is 30 yards out and under pressure, and he lamps it first time towards the bottom corner, and Tremmel is alert enough to push it away.

YELLOW CARD Figueroa goes into the book for a cynical block on Dyer. Swansea have a free kick to the right of the box in a good crossing position.

Shelvey's ball in his blocked at the first hurdle by Huddlestone, and Canas hits a strike from the edge of the box that deflects out for a corner.

Swansea have two corners in quick succession, but neither of them trouble the away side.

SAVE! Important stop by McGregor from Michu. The Spaniard plays a one-two with Routledge before firing the return pass across goal inside the box, but the keeper can stick out a leg to save it.

YELLOW CARDS Sagbo, Shelvey and Williams all go into the book after a spot of handbags which spawned over Swansea wanting to take a corner quickly.

YELLOW CARD Flores can wag his finger all he wants, but that isn't going to stop the referee for giving him a yellow for a poor challenge on Myler.

Flores goes down clutching his face after being a whacked from Sagbo on the byline. It was accidental, but Flores tries to see if he can get the Hull man sent off. Both are already on a yellow.

Just three minutes and stoppage time to go, can either side find a late winner? It's certainly heating up.

It's Swansea who look the more likely to score a winner at the moment, but Hull are holding firm.

There will be four minutes of added time.

Neither side have had a good chance to win it in the last few minutes. It looks as if the scoreline will stay as it is.

FULL TIME: Swansea City 1-1 Hull City

There goes the full-time whistle, and both sides will have to make do with a point. Swansea were a lot better after the break, but Hull were well worthy of a point.

Both teams move up a place in the Premier League table as a result. Swansea climb to 10th while Hull are now 12th.

Just to remind you, Danny Graham had given Hull the lead at the break, but Swansea equalised through Chico Flores.

That's it from me, but stick around to read my analysis piece shortly on Sports Mole.
