Christian Eriksen "really pleased" with Tottenham Hotspur return

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Christian Eriksen says that he was "really pleased" to return from an ankle injury this week.

Christian Eriksen has admitted that he was "really pleased" to make his return for Tottenham Hotspur in the Europa League yesterday evening.

The midfielder had been sidelined for a month with an ankle injury, but came off the bench in last night's 4-1 win over Anzhi Makhachkala.

The Dane told the club's website: "I'm really pleased to be back and to have played at the Lane on Thursday, it's really nice.

"We are really happy that we kept on going in the Europa League and it looks great now that we have 18 points in the group.

"Liverpool is one of the most important games for us. If we want to continue pushing the top and being closer to the top we have to win, so we need to get a result."

Spurs host Liverpool on Sunday.
