Southampton manager Mauricio Pochettino has tipped Nathaniel Clyne for an England call-up if he maintains his current form.
Clyne was part of the team that beat Liverpool 3-1 at St Mary's on Saturday and the Saints boss believes that a consistent run of the form that he showed in the victory will bring about a selection from England manager Roy Hodgson.
"He has the potential and skill to one day play in the national team, if he keeps on playing like he did," Pochettino told reporters after the game.
"The players don't really impress me because I know them and how good they area. What's really important is they show their talent in all the games."
The win means Southampton are now 15th in the Premier League.
