Unai Emery praises Sevilla side

Sevilla boss Unai Emery praises his side following Sunday's 3-1 win over Elche.

Sevilla boss Unai Emery has praised his side following Sunday's 3-1 win over Elche.

The victory moved the Spanish outfit onto 63 points in La Liga, with that total enough for the Europa League winners to secure fifth spot in the table.

"Sustained growth is something that we had in mind," he told reporters at a press conference.

"And logically, that comes from winning. We wanted to give some of the lads who hadn't had that much of a chance this season, and they showed they had the quality."

Sevilla beat Benfica on penalties in the final of the Europa League last week.
