Roma midfielder Miralem Pjanic has insisted that it was an "easy decision" to sign a new deal with the club.
The 24-year-old Bosnia-Herzegovina international penned a three-year extension back in May amid reported interest from Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain.
While admitting that he could have made more money elsewhere, Pjanic is happy that he was given the chance to stay with last season's Serie A runners-up.
"I signed a new deal because I believe in Roma's project, in this team and in this coach," he told Corriere dello Sport. "It was an easy decision. Maybe I could have made more money elsewhere, but I want to play somewhere where I'm happy.
"I love the people at Roma, I love the club and I love the city. This is the perfect place to develop."
Pjanic scored six goals in 35 appearances for Roma during the 2013-14 campaign.
