Former Republic of Ireland international Liam Brady has ruled himself out of the running to replace Giovanni Trapattoni as manager.
Trapattoni left his post on Wednesday following a poor World Cup qualifying campaign.
The 57-year-old, who was one of the outside contenders to take charge of the team, told Sky Sports News: "I'm not in the running."
Brady won 72 caps for Ireland between 1974 and 1990.
