Coventry City have reportedly accepted an offer from Reading for striker Marc McNulty.
The Sky Blues are currently preparing for a return to the third tier of English football after winning the League Two playoffs last season.
McNulty scored a total of 28 goals in all competitions and had been expected to lead Coventry's attack during the upcoming campaign, but according to HITC, a deal with Reading is nearing completion.
The report claims that Coventry initially rejected Reading's advances but a new offer of a fee which could rise to £1.5m is likely to be enough to ensure that a transfer goes through.
McNulty is said to be keen to test himself in the Championship after spending the last four years at the third and fourth tiers with Sheffield United, Portsmouth, Bradford City and Coventry.
