PSV Eindhoven make a £4.2m bid for Crystal Palace left-back Patrick van Aanholt as they seek to bolster their squad, according to a report.

PSV Eindhoven have reportedly made a £4.2m bid for Crystal Palace left-back Patrick van Aanholt.

The 29-year-old has scored two goals in 17 games for the Eagles this season, and 13 in 99 games overall since moving to South London from Sunderland in January 2017 for a fee in the region of £14m.

According to Sky Sports News, the Dutch giants are determined to add the defender, who spent time in their youth academy before making the switch to Chelsea in 2007, to their squad before the transfer window closes on Friday.

However, the report also states that Palace are likely to reject the bid as they look to keep hold of the Dutch international.

Van Aanholt, who is currently out with a thigh injury, has 18 months left on his current contract at Selhurst Park.
