Paris Saint-Germian throw away two-goal lead to draw with Caen

Caen stage a remarkable comeback as they score twice the final few minutes to draw 2-2 with PSG.

Paris Saint-Germain conceded two late goals as they threw away a two-goal lead to draw 2-2 at home to Caen in Ligue 1 this afternoon.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic gave the hosts the lead within two minutes as he acrobatically volleyed Serge Aurier's right-wing cross into the top corner.

PSG continued to pour forward and only a strong save from Remy Vercoutre prevented Yohan Cabaye from doubling their lead.

Nicolas Benezet pounced on a mistake by Salvatore Sirigu, but Marco Verratti spared his goalkeeper's blushes by volleying the effort away to safety.

Ezequiel Lavezzi missed a good opportunity to put his side two goals head six minutes before the break, but he made up for his mistake just moments later as he slammed the ball home after good work by Lucas.

PSG looked to be on course for victory and were still leading 2-0 in the final minute of the game, but Emiliano Sala slammed home what many thought would be a mere consolation in the 90th minute.

However, after Ibrahimovic had brought down Benezet on the edge of the area two minutes into stoppage time, Herve Bazile fired home the free kick to rescue a point for Caen in dramatic circumstances.
