New Oldham Athletic signing Dominic Poleon has revealed that he was persuaded to leave Leeds United by manager Lee Johnson's belief in his ability.
Poleon failed to net in six appearances for the Yorkshire side this season before completing a move to Boundary Park, but the attacker is keen to repay the faith shown in him by his new boss.
The 20-year-old is quoted by Sky Sports News as saying: "The manager was what sold it for me.
"He showed faith in me, he showed interest in me and it's always a nice feeling to know that there's someone here who believes in you and wants you to come here and do well."
Poleon is expected to feature when Oldham host Fleetwood Town on Saturday afternoon.
