Remie Streete recalled by Newcastle United

Newcastle United cut short defender Remie Streete's loan spell with League One side Port Vale.

Newcastle United have recalled defender Remie Streete from his loan spell with Port Vale.

The 20-year-old recently extended his stay with the League One club until January, but mounting injury problems at Newcastle have seen him return early to the Magpies.

Steven Taylor, Fabricio Coloccini and Mike Williamson are all currently sidelined for Alan Pardew's side.

"Remie Streete has been recalled from his loan spell with League One side Port Vale," read a statement on Newcastle's official website. "Last week the 20-year-old, who has made three appearances for the Valiants, agreed to extend his stay at Vale Park until January 4, 2015."

Newcastle resume their Premier League campaign on November 22 when they entertain Queens Park Rangers.
