Newcastle Jets and Western Sydney Wanderers have each secured a point after both sides were awarded late penalties at the Hunter Stadium.
After a goalless 85 minutes, which also saw both sides be disallowed goals, Wanderers were awarded a penalty for a handball in the box, which Brendon Santalab coolly chipped down the middle.

The result looked set to see the away side get their first away victory and third win of the season, helping them gain some ground on the eight sides above them.
However, in the 93rd minute, the home side were awarded a penalty of their own, which was again given for handball.
Midfielder Lee Ki-Je made no mistake and put the ball into the top left-hand corner, securing a point for the Jets who still remain at the foot of the table.
